June 15
I had a long ride today so I was up at 5am and hit the road at 6am. It was a chilly morning and not much was moving at 6am. But at 6:30 I ran into this fellow on the road. He hardly budged as I rode past. And what a sound it made. It had to be 5 times louder than a rooster!!
Then it was on to Montana.
Pretty mountain lakes and rivers everywhere you look.
These are the Cabinet Mountains. They are part of the Rocky Mountain Range and reach to 8700 feet.
You won't see this sign in Mechanicsburg!!
That night I took a room in a cheap motel in Libby, Montana. I was scheduled to stay in a local hostel but for some reason it had closed.
When I get a motel room I will often get a Tide Pod and throw it in a tub of hot water to wash my clothes.
Then I string up a line in the room and hang them to dry. Works out great.

Montana looks beautiful!
